As I mentioned last week, I joined Ali Edwards (and many others) in the Day In The Life project on June 27th.
I woke up around 7:30am to this ridiculously cute face
After I rolled out of bed I let Reese out and had to hear all the dogs in the kennel behind Andrea's barking. Of course when Reese hears the barking she feels the need to bark too, which I try to stop.... unsuccessfully.
The weather outlook for the day and week ahead. I never was so concerned about the weather until I went through pilot training. I check it all the time, especially if I am flying that day. I was scheduled to fly this night, so I was hoping for nice weather.
Breakfast for two! I put the two photos together with the Diptic app and added the "yum" with the A Beautiful Mess app.
Off to work. I had my certification board at 1000am. By 1100 I was officially certified as an aircraft commander. I posted the good news on Facebook and it was awesome to see all the kind comments and like throughout the day. It's a big step in my career and I'm super pumped about it and the challenges that it will bring.
Since I wasn't flying until later that night I left work after my certification board and stopped by the grocery to pick up some essentials. Check out the new home magazine... I'm kinda obsessed with magazines.... especially home ones.
The weather was nice so Reese and I took a walk around the neighborhood.
I also squeezed in a little bit of Pinterest browsing. There are sooo many cool and fun things on pinterest. I get overwhelmed every now and then, but I do really love it.
I eventually had to get back to work for my night flight. I went in a little early to fit in a little study time.
My office is pretty awesome. I love my job.
We had to come back a little early and I was able to see the sunset over the airplanes. I was headed home by 9:15.
After I made it home I worked a little bit on a Photoshop class I'm taking online. I put a re-finished coffee table in Andrea's living room to go with her new couch. I forgot to take a photo, but I'll have one up later. I paid $5 for this great solid wood coffee table in NC and then brought it up to Andrea. I was so happy that it fit perfectly!
I didn't have a set time to be at work on Friday so I stayed up a little late. I love setting the alarm for 8am, even though I almost always wake up before then.
Ali has been doing the Day In The Life each month. I don't know if I'll keep it up for each month, but I do think it is fun to do every now and then. I wish I took a few more photos, but I'd say this is a pretty good snapshot of my life, even though my schedule changes everyday.
