Part dos = COMPLETE! Whohoo! I'm so in love with my project life 2011 album. I think my hybrid approach worked out really well for me. I've been checking out all the posts at Ali's site and I love seeing the different approach that each person took. I love how the simple concept of documenting one week in your life results in so much variation and creativity. The biggest part of completing this album is to just jump in and not to over think it. And if something isn't working it is totally cool to swich gears completely and go in another direction. I did all of the above. I over thought it, and then I started, and then I re-started. And in the end I heart my album. In fact, it is sitting next to me on my couch right now, and I bet that once I finish up this post I'll be flipping through it again.
Sooooo here is the finished project. I didn't photograph each and every page, but I included a variety of pages to show you what I did. If you want a refresher of how it began, you can click here for the "before".
To read more about how I used iPhoto to make my 8 1/2 by 11" album click here. If you want to see my original plan as well as a link to each of the daily posts visit this page. Curious about how messy my desk was during the process... have a peek. If you have any questions about the hybrid process, about using iPhoto, or about any of the stuff I used please feel free to ask!
found my way to your blog via your flickr feed. so glad that i did! i love, love, love how your WITL album turned out. Your full page photos are fantastic and I love the carefree feeling of each of your pages. What a feeling it is to see this through completion, don't you think?
i'll definitely visit your space again:)

Your album is GORGEOUS! I love this hybrid approach and using iPhoto was genious. I printed mine at Costco 2 to a page.

Thank you! You are so right... it was a great feeling to finally be finished, and especially to love how it turned out. This was my first week in the life project and I had a lot of fun doing it. I like how you used all the tags in your album. I also ended up with more receipts and stuff at the end that I didn't know what to do with, so I just left them out. Your idea was a good one though.

Thank you, so sweet of you to say! This was my first hybrid approach and even though it was totally different than my original idea for the album, it ended up being a great choice. I'll have to check out costco next time I want to print my instagram photos.

It turned out amazing!!! After seeing all your posts in digital form previously, I think this is an awesome transition to a hybrid book. The page with the translucent pocket is my favorite, but I love them all!

thanks Marie! I was happy with how that pocket page turned out. Originally I had just a piece of paper there, but then I ripped it out and used the vellum pocket. It ended up being one of my faves too :)

Love your album!! Currently working on my 2012 one and looking through completed albums from 2011 on Flikr for inspiration led me to this post. You've given me hope that I might get my 2011 one complete that I abandoned last year. I pretty much used only Instagram for my photos that time around and found I didn't like the way my album was going so I pushed it aside. Right now I'm making good progress on the 2012 using Ali's newest templates (this time I used "real" cameras too), but I do want to complete the 2011 one so thanks for this inspiration! :)

Thank you! That is so sweet of you. I sorta slacked on this year's and I'm behind on project life! I figure that I will get to it eventually. I really like how last year's album turned out, but I am thinking of doing something different this time around. I'm not much on planning ahead!
