Kerry shared this cute story with me a while back. We tossed ideas back and forth for the sewing project and being the much more prolific sewer that she is, Kerry stitched something so cute and fantastic this weekend!! Check it out:
"Here is my second project this weekend.I sent you this picture earlier of my nice and the frog she caught. Frogs are her favorite animal, she even uses a butterfly net to catch frogs instead of butterflies at the lake all summer long. So when Tula Pink came out with the Prince Charming fabric line, I had to get some. I waited until I knew what I wanted to make with it. I finally decided on a round drawstring overnight bag that she could use to take stuff to and from the lake cottage in. I searched the internet for a pattern but couldn't find one that had everything I wanted. I did see the Amy Butler Mr. Bedbug Ditty Bag, but that pattern is discontinued. So I just made up my own. I made a basic round drawstring bag but added the pockets on the outside and padded straps so she can wear it like a backpack. I just love the little frogs hidden in this fabric its so cute. I hope she enjoys it and gets a lot of use out of it."That bag is AWESOME! I really like the way you combined the fabrics. I'm so impressed ant what you can come up with just looking at another design. Of course, I also love the little daschund doggie too! For anyone that would like to have one of their own it comes from the Etsy shop Black Bird Fashion. The shop calls the dog Pearl, but I think Kerry named it something else. What did you guys start calling it?
