I've said it before and I doubt I'll ever stop saying it... I am a HUGE fan of pinterest. It is awesome. I've been pinning tons of stuff lately. I pinned and re-pinned LOTS of stuff while on the deployment since the pinterest site was one of very few that would load somewhat fast. Kerry: if you haven't requested an invite you must click on over right now and do it... surely they don't have it blocked! My non-virtual way of "pinning" is tearing sheets from magazines, and since I'm sorta type-a, I have them neatly organized by categories in file folders. I save so many ideas that I'll probably never get around to doing them all, but it's nice to have them there... just in case. Every 6 months or so I go through them all and throw out recycle any of the sheets that don't really speak to me anymore.
Today I just wanted to share some of my favorite projects on my DIY board. These are some I'm hoping to get to this year.
paint chip key chain - Just toss it in your purse and you'll always have your house colors with you. You could also glue fabric swatches to the wood rounds too.
vacation memory jar
mirror turned magnetic chalkboard - I already have the mirror, I'm just debating between turning it into a magnetic chalkboard or a cork-board
share - save - spend banks - I'm thinking this could be a cool kids gift for this year.
fabric bookmark
display
button monogram
So, there are 7 projects from the 58 that are currently on my DIY board. This doesn't include any sewing or embroidery project ideas... I have separate boards for sewing and for embroidery!!! Elise came up with a great idea for herself this year. Read here about how she is planning 26 projects before her 26th birthday. This is such a cool idea, it got me thinking I may need to try something like this. My birthday is next month... I wonder if I could do 35 projects before my 35th birthday?!?!
