UPDATE ( 1JULY 2011): 

Well all I can say is oops! Turns out Paypal frowns on using their payment process for raffles (which I understand in retrospect) - so we have to shift our benefit raffle for the American Red Cross to a different format! No worries, if you've already entered, you're still entered! From here on out we'll accept checks mailed to the studio (no credit card orders on this please). If you've not seen this yet, we've created a raffle of 3 fantastic prize packages in order to help the relief efforts in Japan as well as the storm ravaged Southern U.S. - AND we're pushing the deadline out 1 week to accommodate everyone!

Today I received an email about Amy Butler's latest endeavor - a raffle. The raffle is to raise money for The American Red Cross. I think this is a great idea and I am sure the prize will be great. Here is what the email said:

Hello Friends-

It has been three months since the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan and just over two months since the tornados and flooding throughout the Southern United States. They are slowly recovering and rebuilding from these disasters but help will be needed for years to come. I have put together a raffle to help support the relief efforts in these areas.

Here's the scoop on the raffle:

-Tickets are $10 each, purchased through paypal

-There will be 3 winners, each receiving a Sweet Life Bag full of goodies

-100% of the proceeds will be sent to The American Red Cross

-Tickets are on sale now through July 7^th, Click Here or follow the directions below to get your tickets

How to purchase a raffle ticket:

1 - Log into your Paypal account, if you don't already have an account Click Here to sign up

2 - Click on the Send Money tab

3 - Please send money to: amybutler@amybutlerdesign.com 

4 - Enter the amount of money you would like to donate, each ticket is $10, feel free to purchase multiple tickets. Please make sure the donation is in US dollars.

5 - Please mark your payment as a Personal Gift

6 - Hit continue

7 - You will be shown a review of your payment, review your details and make sure to enter your name and email address in the "Email to recipient" section so we will be able to contact you if you are chosen as a winner.

8 - Click Send Money
